MTD – Are you ready?

HMRC are on their way to digitise their records and it would help if the future systems would allow all data to be submitted digitally too.

To this effect, they have enforced the VAT submissions commencing 1st April 2019 to be submitted by online systems rather than paper format. This is the ‘Making Tax Digital (or MTD)’ drive from HMRC. All businesses who submit VAT should be ready for this process now. Do you still need to understand it better?
